The PSA qualification prepares a learner to operate as a Public Sector Auditor. A qualified learner will perform external audit engagements to report on the public sector expenditure, performance and compliance in accordance with relevant standards and legislative requirements. The qualification further equips learners to manage financial, compliance, performance, and performance information audits in public sector institutions. It focuses on planning, executing, and reporting audits in line with relevant frameworks, evaluating internal controls, assessing financial health, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Auditors are trained to identify and ethically report risks, promote governance and operational efficiency, and provide actionable recommendations through comprehensive reporting. This qualification emphasizes accountability, transparency, and ethical standards to enhance public sector performance and sustainability.
The MFM qualification prepares a learner to function as a Municipal Finance Manager. A Municipal Finance Manager leads, manages, implements, oversees, reports, and takes accountability and responsibility for the budget, financial and general matters of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) and supporting legislations thereof. A competent learner shall demonstrate among others the following attributes: honesty, punctuality, initiative, critical analysis, integrity, ethical, etc.
PSAAA offer tailored short courses based on your needs and public short courses. Our accredited short learning programmes includes assessor training, moderator training, and facilitator training. Our in-house trainings are suitable to meet your needs and will give you access to a coach in the implementation of your training. Our public courses vary from time to time and includes preparing and reviewing annual financial statements, asset management, governance training, corporate governance and risk management, and many others.
